Connections and Creation - Holly's Birth Story
My pregnancy was beautiful before I even knew I was pregnant. I say this because most of the beautiful messages I received and the healing work that was done was before conception. For the past year and a half, I was clearing what no longer served me on all levels especially on my sacral chakra. The sacral chakra has to do with creative energy, emotional energy and passion. I worked on healing this chakra by painting, drawing, writing, energy work, expression and of course, the use of crystal healing. Doing this work, brought things to the surface that needed to be walked through. When we feel uncomfortable with feelings that surface, its best to walk through them. Be with them as they arise. That's exactly what I did.
Last summer, I was painting, drawing and working through stuff more than ever before. I remember sitting through some deep "stuff". To the point where I felt it surface throughout my whole body. I remember lying outside and letting the earth take in what no longer served me. It was a beautiful thing. I knew that this was a major transition point for me. I did healing work with a friend to clear more of what no longer served me and continued to work on this healing work throughout the holidays.
It was a week before the holidays and we had just lost my grandmother. Our family had made arrangements per her request, to have a ceremony in a church along with a funeral and wake. During our time, in the church we went up and got a blessing from the priest and sat down to pray. When I do this, I try and connect to my grandmother to say hello and hope she is healthy and well. As I do this, I see my grandmother holding a baby. I started to cry, I looked over at Bruce and told him what I had just saw. I said, " I just saw my grandmother holding a baby and I am pretty sure that's our baby she is holding."
A week goes by, it is snowing outside. I has just finished shoveling our patio and decided to make a cup of tea and paint a picture. I never know what I am

On January 1st, 2021, I just got home for a lunch with one of my close friends. I hadn't got my monthly "friend" yet. I was just a couple days late. I got a pregnancy test and waited patiently for the results. I got the results. (This is actually pretty funny.) So, I thought the test said negative because the lines were not that clear. Bruce came home and I told him that I was going to have some news to tell him. He said "what do you mean?" I said "I took this pregnancy test." Then, showed him the test. He said with a shocked look, "Holly, that is positive." Just to be sure it was positive, I got some other tests and they all were positive. My visions and painting were right.
The first three months of my pregnancy were rough. I felt nauseous and extremely tired. My second trimester was great. I started to gain more energy and felt really good. Some days I was tired but, nothing like the first trimester. The third trimester, I was sore and I could not sleep or do things the same as I use to. I had 5 pillows of all different shapes and sizes just to feel comfortable in bed. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I couldn't wait to meet my little boy. Little did I know it would be a lot sooner than I thought.

I was getting ready for work in the AM doing my normal routine. I was just about the leave the house when I felt like I had to go to the bathroom. I am sitting on the toilet and liquid started to come out. I said to myself, I don't think that is pee, I am pretty sure my water just broke and I don't know, did it? I wasn't 100% sure because I still had 3 1/2 weeks until my due date. I called the hospital and they told me to come in. I drove myself to the hospital and I told the nurse what I experienced. She gave me a test to take to see if my water truly broke. The test confirm it had and I got moved into a birthing room. Bruce met me at the hospital. My contractions never started by themselves, so about 6 hours after arriving at the hospital the doctor recommended that I get induced.
After I got induced, I knew what I had to do. I had to move and listen to hypnobirthing/meditation music to help me get through the contractions. I could not walk around the hallways due to COVID-19 but, I paced the room a little bit and mainly used a exercise ball. There was one meditation or soothing song I listened to that really helped me connect to my baby boy. It was such an awesome feeling. Almost like I was in an eye of a storm. I connected so easily. I saw what appeared to be Mother Mary and a team of angels working on baby boy, Hunter. I believe they were getting him ready to come into the world. I was amazing to have seen such a beautiful sight. Mother Mary brings the energies of love, nurturing, caring and supportive energy. This is something I will remember for the rest of my life.

We were all exhausted but, very excited that Hunter was finally here. We got to spend a little time with Hunter until the nurse noticed he wasn't breathing correctly. About 4 hours later we all were transferred to a different hospital that specialized in premature babies. Everyday at the hospital, Hunter was progressing more and more. I had friends and family praying and sending healing vibes our way. Bruce and I were able to stay in the same room with the baby for 17 days. It was a LONG 17 days but, Bruce and I are so grateful for all the doctors, nurses and staff that were there. We learned so much. So much about what was going on with Hunter, so much about caring and feeding our baby. Bruce and I were able to build a beautiful foundation for our family in such an unexpected place.
I would love to hear some of your birth experiences! Please share in the comments below.
Birth is such a beautiful thing.
Not only are you birthing a child, your birthing a new beginning.
Much love,
Holly Miller

Congratulations Holly and Bruce ~ Welcome to the world, Hunter!
